🎥 Reel Review: Bang (2025)

After surviving a heart transplant, a hitman tries to walk away from his violent past. Bang has the bones of a redemption story, but it’s more interested in bullets than growth. The action comes fast, the bodies pile up, and the blood doesn’t stop flowing.
Jack Kesy plays it cold, almost too cold. There’s not much emotion behind his performance, even when the script suggests he’s changing. Peter Weller, on the other hand, has fun as the crime boss—he’s the only one here who seems to know exactly what kind of movie this is.
The story tries to raise the stakes with questions about identity and second chances, but it never slows down long enough to explore them. Instead, it leans on shootouts and mood lighting to keep things moving.
Mitten’s Verdict: Stylish noise with flashes of something better.
