🎬 Reel Review: Oh, Hi!

Oh, Hi! Starts like an offbeat rom-com—a playful weekend getaway between Iris (Molly Gordon) and Isaac (Logan Lerman) in a picturesque farmhouse. But when Isaac casually admits he’s not ready for commitment, Iris chains him to the bed for 12 hours—and the tone shifts sharply into dark comedy territory. That absurd premise drives the film, and the cast sells it with surprising commitment.

Molly Gordon balances charm and unhinged intensity as Iris, while Logan Lerman handles constraint both physically and emotionally. Geraldine Viswanathan and John Reynolds provide quirky, grounded support amidst the chaos.

Director Sophie Brooks leans into the weirdness without apologizing, but the story loses steam in the middle. The idea is clever, but once things spin out of control, it doesn’t land as cleanly. Still, the performances elevate the messy logic. It’s dirty, uncomfortable, and oddly magnetic.

Final word: A bold, awkward take on dating gone wrong—with flawed charm and committed performances. Rated: 6.5 out of 10.
