🎥 Reel Review: House on Eden

House on Eden follows a group of online content creators investigating a reportedly haunted house in the woods. The found-footage framework works earlier in the film. The cast feels believable, and tension is gradually built with some effective atmosphere. However, after they get inside, the movie starts to repeat itself.

There are glimpses of something creepier, but the scares rely too much on old tricks—loud noises, quick flashes, and people staring blankly into space. It never really escalates, and by the time things fall apart, it feels like the story ran out of ideas.

It’s worth watching, particularly if you’re a fan of lo-fi horror with a documentary aesthetic. It just doesn’t linger much after the credits roll, though.

Mitten’s Verdict: House on Eden has a good premise and a bit of tension at the beginning, but it dissipates quickly. You’ve been to this house before. Rated: 4 out of 10.
